Introduction:
Higher permeability achieves lower measurement error and higher measurement accuracy. The current silicon steel CT cores cannot achieve the ideal measurement accuracy under the situation of low Ampere-tums or small turn ratios, and the Fe-Ni Perm-alloy core application is limited because of its low magnetization and high cost. However, nano-crystalline cores are getting more widely used in 0.2,0.2s, 0.1 accuracy grade current transformers than precious generations. This is due to their properties of high permeability, high magnetization as well as lower cost in the low Hc field of power supply systems, power energy measurement and control systems, dynamical system, relay protection, etc.
Current transformer can be divided into measuring current transformer and protection current transformer. The measuring current transformer is mainly used in conjunction with measuring instrument to measure current, power and electric energy under normal working state. The protection current transformer cooperating with relay device will cut off the line in case of faults such as short circuit or over current to protect valuable equipment in the line, such as generator and transformer.
